Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata advanced without problems in the Copa Argentina by defeating Acassuso 3-0. The Lobo achieved the pass to the quarterfinals of the federal tournament and waits for the winner of the match between San Lorenzo and Riestra. In a matter of weeks, Gimnasia went from going through a crisis to winning four games in a row, placing itself in playoff positions, and being the first to qualify for the quarterfinals of the Copa Argentina. And when the search for a coach after Zarinatto's departure seemed urgent, they found a solution with Ariel Pereyra, who was only going to direct the match against Camioneros but the good results made his interim position last, a priori, until the end of the year.
